Microblading by Jean

Microblading is a manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. Shape of the eyebrows is calculated according to the golden intersection and face morphology. The pigment is applied into the surface layer of the dermis using sterilized tools. The pigment is chosen to match the natural hair or eyebrows' colour. After the healing, the colour mah become several hues lighter than the natural hairs' colour. Symmetry is achieved through Microblading application and it is calculated while the clients' eyes are closed because in that way mimetic muscles that can affect eyebrows' symmetry are relaxed. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hairs' growth to achieve hyper-realistic look. When a client has very few natural hairs, manual technique is combined with the machine in order to get shadows that improve the volume. The combination of both techniques is called Fusion. Treatment is performed with disposable sterile tools, and pigments are produced in accordance with the highest standards (microblading pigments). Correction is done a month after the treatment, because between 10 and 15% of drawn strokes disappear after the first treatment. Colour is extremely dark furing the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses 40 to 50% of its intensity. If you think the colour is too dark, do not try to remove it yourself by no means. Patiently wait 7 days for the colour to fade on its own after the healing of the skin. Color duration primarily depends on how oily the skin is. The oilier the skin, the shorter the colour lasts. Sweating and sun exposure also reduce colour fastness. On average, the expected time until a new colour refreshment is between 10 and 12 months. With oily skin it is up to 6 months. The healing is fully completed after 28 days and this is when we perform an obligatory addition of the pigment that has been lost. With problematic and oily skins, we can several additions (corrections). Post-treatment flow makes 70% of the treatment's success. Conscientiously obey advice, because if you don't do so you may lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Rinsing and applying creams is of great.

Brow Treatment

The Consultation:
The first part of the process is a consultation. This is normally done as part of your initial treatment, but can be done separately if you prefer. My team and I will talk with you in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what we might recommend to you. This is very much a two-way conversation. We listen, we respond, we advise. Once we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the brows on with a makeup pencil. These can be drawn on and adjusted 50 times if necessary! We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what they are going to look like.

The Treatment:
Using a specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine, we gently apply pigment to the skin using very fine needles. The sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin – you feel the vibrations but you should not feel any discomfort. We will always work with you at this stage, giving you breaks if you need them. The process normally takes about one hour, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. Immediately after a brow treatment you should expect the area to look 40-50% darker than the color you have chosen in consultation. This will start to fade after 3-4 days.

The Retouch:
A second appointment is needed 4-12 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 30-60 minute appointment to add more pigment to the brow area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more color. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, we advise you always come back to clinic for your retouch.
